PEARL BEACH FOURTH ANNUAL CHARITY BBQ COOK-OFF
The Pearl Beach Subdivision at Crystal Beach will be hosting the 4th Annual Charity BBQ Cook-off again this year on Friday and Saturday, April 29-30, 2016 at Gregory Park 2292 Hwy 87 Crystal Beach Texas 77650 on Bolivar Peninsula. The funds raised will be donated to Lone Survivor Foundation for the Crystal Beach Retreat Facility, Bolivar Peninsula Community Outreach and Participating Peninsula Volunteer Fire Departments.
Friday Night will be a Bean Contest (can be cooked off premise) and all entry fees and food donations will be given to the participating Peninsula Volunteer Fire Departments. Saturday event will be two BBQ categories; Brisket and Ribs. Each Team can enter both categories with one entry fee of $100. All cooking must take place on premise the day of the event. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies for each category. The 1st place winner in the Brisket category will donate $750 of the entry proceeds to a charity of their choice. The 1st place winner in the Ribs category will donate $750 of the entry proceeds to a charity of their choice. The remaining entry fees amounts will be donated to Bolivar Peninsula Community Outreach. The Lone Survivor Foundation, Crystal Beach Retreat Facility will receive food and raffle donations the day of the cook-off.
The sponsor banner categories will be GOLD - $500 or more; SILVER - $200 up; and BRONZE - $100 up. (all donations need to be in by April 15 , 2016)
Each year we have been able to double our contributions to charity organizations on the Peninsula and hope to continue to do that again.

Friday Night April 29, 2016 Events: 6 pm to 10 pm
Bean Contest: Entry Fee – $10. Beans may be cooked off premise and brought to the cookoff for judging. No rules on the type of beans to be cooked. Judging will be at 8:00 pm. The winner of the bean contest will receive a trophy and two Crab Festival Tickets. All bean contest entry fees and food donations collected on Friday will go to participating Fire Departments on the Peninsula. Food will be prepared by the participating fire departments.
Saturday, April 30, 2016 Events:

Judging: The judging for the Ribs will be held at 1:30 pm. The judging for the Brisket will be held at 3:30 pm. The announcement of the winners will take place immediately following the brisket judging.
Arrival and Setup: You may arrive Friday anytime and/or Saturday to setup. You may begin cooking Friday at midnight if you wish.
Spirit Award: Show your TEAM SPIRIT! There will be 1st place Spirit Award for the Team with the most creative cooking area!
