The Galveston Bay Foundation’s 5th Annual “Ladies Casting for Conservation Fishing Tournament” is a yearly event Saturday July 22 2017. This women’s only one-day fishing tournament attracts over 60 Tournament Anglers each year and is held on Bolivar Peninsula in Crystal Beach, Texas. Tournament Headquarters yearly is Stingaree Restaurant and Marina. The tournament is for all ladies, from your first time anglers to those that know how to reel in the big catch!
The pre-tournament activities will kick-off the night before with a social and captains’ meeting at a second location. On Saturday, teams will start fishing at 6:00 am and arrive back at Stingaree Restaurant and Marina between 1:00 – 2:00 pm to weigh in their catches. Prizes will be awarded for Heaviest Team Stringers (three trout), Bolivar Slam, as well as Heaviest Trout, Redfish & Flounder.
Come join us for a competitive day of fishing while at the same time benefiting Galveston Bay Foundation in its efforts to preserve and protect the Galveston Bay system. Founded in 1987, the Galveston Bay Foundation is a non-profit conservation organization that works to preserve, protect, and enhance the natural resources of the Galveston Bay system through its programs in education, conservation, advocacy, and research.
