Fishing Report Week Ending November 11, 2025

The water clarity has been good for East Galveston Bay. This past week we caught slot redfish in the shallows, and they did not disappoint. Active bait in the area is important, so if you don't see bait or signs of life, don't spend a whole lot of time in the area. We are still using Imitation shrimp lures & paddle tails under Fish Smack popping corks, with a 1 foot to 18" leader to trigger the most bites, as well as weightless Deadly Dudley Rat Tails, and WacAttack Flukes. We have been having our best luck in and around grass lines in a foot to 24" of water, with indentations / drains /points being the most productive areas. We have also man aged to catch keeper trout in and around drains in 2 to 5 foot of water on tails with 1/8 oz heads. The sand trout bite has been on fire on the reefs as well as numerous Bull Redfish being caught out on the reefs. Birds are still working in the Bay so if you like chasing birds, now is your time to hit the water. The impending front should cool things off a little and move the fish around a little more, so looking forward to fishing again this week. The crowds have thinned out, so now is the time to schedule your fall / winter fishing trips and get out enjoy all the upper Texas Coast has to offer.
