The Crystal Beach Volunteer Fire Department (CBVFD) has been proudly serving the Crystal Beach, Texas community and surrounding areas on the Bolivar Peninsula for decades. Formed by committed local residents, CBVFD was created to respond to the growing need for reliable fire protection and emergency services in this fast-developing coastal region.
Today, the department operates with a team of trained volunteer firefighters and first responders who handle a wide range of emergencies, including structure and brush fires, vehicle accidents, medical calls, and storm-related incidents. CBVFD plays a crucial role in the peninsula’s overall safety and emergency response infrastructure, working hand-in-hand with Galveston County Emergency Services District #2 (ESD #2) which is our EMS, Ambulance Service for Bolivar Peninsula stationed at all 3 Volunteer Fire Departments. They also work hand in hand with other regional partners.
CBVFD is also active in hurricane preparedness, community outreach, and disaster response, helping ensure Crystal Beach residents and visitors stay safe before, during, and after storms. With strong local support, ongoing training, and a deep commitment to public safety, the Crystal Beach Volunteer Fire Department continues to protect what matters most on the Texas Gulf Coast.
