Weekly fishing report ending October 26, 2023.

The surface water temperature is 73 degrees, and water clarity is good for the most part. Fishing continues to improve in East Galveston Bay, with cooler air/water temperatures, good tide movement over the past week, and a mild front that pushed through.

We were able to fish near and off the shore reefs this week, and both areas produced great catches of trout, reds, and a few black drum on our artificial trips. We also fished Flats around pinch points with current and nervous bait, with great success, when the wind didn’t cooperate with us.

Marker 54 Glide Shrimp with Fish Smack popping corks, with 12” - 18” leaders have still been producing continuous bites for our anglers, resulting in great success on our chartered trips. On our live bait trips, live shrimp have produced consistently, and provided plenty of line-tugging action for our fishing clients.
