Port Bolivar Volunteer Fire Department's 18th Annual Bar-B-Que Cook-off is this weekend. A weekend event fun for the whole family. Pit-Masters show off for all to enjoy some of the Best Texas BBQ around. Plates will be available with donation and Homemade Desserts are alway tasty. Plan to attend and support your local Port Bolivar Volunteer Fire Department.
AdoptABEACH- Coastal-wide Fall Cleanup, is this Saturday 8am-12:30pm Headquarters out of the Crystal Beach Fire Department. A great time for families, organizations, companies and individuals to give back to keeping our beaches clean.
The Jane Long Festival is October 14th and 15th this year, yes a 2 day event with more fun for the whole family, games for the kids, live music, rein-actors and tours of the old gun batteries which have been cleaned and some even lighted. Peninsula Sport Park- Grand Slam Flounder Tournament, October 22, 2016 6am-5pm. Out of the Bolivar Yacht Basin raising funds for rebuilding the Peninsula Sports Park for our youth on Bolivar Peninsula. Bringing Baseball back to Bolivar for our youth!!!
Brad and Big Rich's Cajun Chef's Cookoff, October 29 2016. Love Cajun Music, can you cook... well gather your team for the Stingaree Restaurant and Marina1st Brad & Big Riches Cajun Cook-off!!! With Live Cajun Music planned for the day and 15 of the best cajun cooking teams it's sure to be an event to savor. Pot's and Pit's fire-up around 7am and top-teams named at 3:30pm. Seafood Gumbo, Chef's Choice and Bloody Mary are the set categories for each team. Entry Fee will be $175, 1st- $500 plus trophy, 2nd $250 plus trophy and 3rd $100 plus trophy, Peoples Choice Awards- Trophy.
