The 2016 Bolivar Lions Club Golf Cart Poker Run is this weekend August 6th Check-in starts at 8am and it rolls-out at 10am from Hardheads Icehouse and Grill so gas up the carts and charge the batteries for a fun filled day on Bolivar. With stops at Tiki Beach Bar and Grill, Eagles, Steves Landing and finishing up at Stingaree Restaurant and Marina for prizes and auction and more fun in the sun. If you can't make the run, make the after-party which should kick-off at Stingaree Restaurant around 2:30pm.
The Stingaree Saltwater Slam Fishing Tournament is set for September 17th, Calcutta Friday night at Tiki Beach Bar and Grill with the weigh-in and awards Saturday at Stingaree Restaurant and Marina along with a KIDS Hardhead Tournament Saturday Morning at Stingaree Marina.
Port Bolivar Volunteer Fire Department's 18th Annual Bar-B-Que Cook-off September 23 and 24 2016. A weekend event fun for the whole family. Pit-Masters show off for all to enjoy some of the Best Texas BBQ around. Plates will be available with donation and Homemade Desserts are alway tasty. Plan to attend and support your local Port Bolivar Volunteer Fire Department.
The Jane Long Festival is October 14th and 15th this year, yes a 2 day event with more fun for the whole family, games for the kids, live music, rein-actors and tours of the old gun batteries which have been cleaned and some even lighted. What better way to spend a couple days than a history lesson with live music, arts/crafts, kids games and more...
Love Cajun Music, can you cook... well gather your team for the Stingaree Restaurant and Marina 1st Brad & Big Riches Cajun Chef's Cook-off!!! With Live Cajun Music planned for the day and 15 of the best cajun cooking teams it's sure to be an event to savor. Pot's and Pit's fire-up around 7am and top-teams named at 3pm. Gumbo, Chef's Choice and Bloody Mary are the set categories for each team. Sample cups sold for a taste of the best Gumbo on the upper Texas Coast. Cash Prizes and trophies will be awarded.
