Park the Right Way: Bolivar Beach Parking Sticker Program

To help maintain and enhance public access to Bolivar Peninsula beaches, Galveston County offers the Bolivar Beach Parking Sticker—the only valid permit for vehicles parked on the beach. The sticker supports essential amenities and services, from restroom facilities to beach patrols.

What You Need to Know:

  • Cost & Validity: Stickers are $10 each per calendar year. Early Bird pricing of $5 is offered during January and February at select locations.

  • Where to Buy:

    • Several local businesses along TX-87—including The Big Store (Gulf Coast Market), real estate offices, and the Bolivar Tourism Center—sell stickers,
  • Placement Guidelines:

    • Motor vehicles: lower passenger-side corner of front windshield
    • ATVs, golf carts, motorcycles: right front bumper or windshield.
  • Why It’s Required: The revenue funds:

    • Permanent and seasonal restrooms & rinse stations
    • Portable toilet trailers and trash services
    • Beach maintenance and clean‑up crews
    • Sheriff patrols and safety operations
    • On busy weekends, open‑top dumpsters and extra support crews.

Important Notes:

  • You can walk, or drive along the beach without a permit—but if your motor vehicle is parked on the beach, a valid sticker is required.
  • No other form of permit is accepted.
