Bolivar Ferry Shuts Down, Rain Starts, Tide Raising On Bolivar Peninsula! The Bolivar Ferry will have periodic times that they must shut down due to wind and a tide above 4' talking to Danny Perez with TxDot. We'll do our best to keep you updated in our comments section of the latest post if we get word or changes in service. Also nows the time to put an electric or water bill in your vehicle in case you ever have to prove you have property on Bolivar Peninsula in the future.
