Winnie Texas is located on I-10 just a short drive from Bolivar Peninsula or Beaumont, and a Texas stones throw from Houston Texas, many call it "The Beach Exit" on I-10. Where the coastal breeze of the upper Texas coast meets the coastal prairie, home to abundant wildlife. Where the marsh meets rich ranch and farm land that’s been handed down thru the generations. A true Texas town, rich in family tradition, several festivals yearly, family owned restaurants and Larry’s Trade Days, a Texas sized market with it all, always the weekend following the first Monday of each month. From Bolivar Peninsula your a short drive to #WinnieAmerica just north of High Island. Winnie Texas is home to the Texas Rice Festival each fall and the Marsh Fest the first weekend of March yearly. The National Wildlife Refuge and Boy Scout Woods is located between the Texas beachfront and Winnie Texas, and makes a great excursion from Bolivar Peninsula. The area between Winnie Texas and High Island is know for some of the best duck hunting in southeast Texas and many guides call Winnie Home.
